Area Supervisor - CA

Position Summary

The Area Supervisor supports personnel management of the Electronic Assemblers and Line Leads of multiple Work Centers or Cells.  They are accountable for solution being in place to resolve Assembler Level Challenges/roadblocks. They ensure the workforce is in place, trained, and employees’ tactical development plans are in place. They manage the hiring, onboarding, training, and skill matrix of Assembler personnel.

This role focuses on data collection, validation, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. 

Position Summary

The Data Analyst is responsible for the ongoing support, enhancement, and optimization of the Company’s ERP system, BI tools, and related software systems. The role partners closely with Operations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Quality) and IT personnel to translate business needs into effective system and reporting solutions, troubleshoot application and database issues, and improve data-related processes. The Data Analyst supports system implementations and upgrades, user access management, documentation, and vendor/consultant coordination while adhering to data governance, compliance, and corporate IT standards.

The Industrial Engineer Intern would focus on floor plan and layouts for the Materials department with the primary focus on the Shipping / Receiving area and the bulk storage location.

Under general supervision, perform a variety of maintenance, repair and adjustment of assembly and production equipment.  Coordinate a facility Preventive Maintenance (PM) program for production equipment, generate maintenance records and update the maintenance database.  Maintain the tools, supplies and work areas dedicated for the PM program. Must apply a working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electromechanical systems during maintenance and repair of equipment. Perform Facility based repairs and Preventative Maintenance. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and hand tools.

Drafting teams. Establish priorities, assign resources, and manage project execution within the
Mechanical Engineering work group. Oversee the design, layout, and packaging of power supplies and
electronic assemblies for harsh operating environments in accordance with customer specifications,
documentation requirements, and Rantec quality procedures. Establish, maintain, and improve
mechanical engineering design standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Responsible for the design, administration, and support of the Company’s multi-site IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, data security, and compliance with regulatory standards.

The Operations Intern will support manufacturing operations through work-in-process tracking, production floor follow-up, and operational analytics. This position will work with Operations, Planning, Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, and Program Management to improve visibility into open work orders, physical WIP location, production constraints, material availability, and schedule risk.

A key part of this role will be spending time on the production floor locating WIP, verifying work order status, following up on stalled jobs, and helping ensure production status information is accurate and current. The Operations Intern will also assist with developing and maintaining Qlik reports, dashboards, and supporting analysis using data from Rantec’s ERP system.

During the summer period, a project will be assigned that improves production visibility, supports on-time delivery, reduces manual reporting effort, and helps identify opportunities to improve manufacturing flow.

Position Summary

Takes a lead role in developing internal design guidelines for printed wiring board (PWB) designs.  Performs a full range of design tasks to produce PWBs for Rantec’s power supply products.  Applies a thorough material science knowledge of the interactions and characteristics of materials used in PWB manufacturing and the impact of material choices on design decisions.  Interface with PWB manufacturers to ensure Rantec’s designs are compatible with the manufacturing processes of the PWB.  Produce the schematic, design the component layout of the circuit board, and create documentation to support manufacturing.

The Production Control Intern will work cross-functionally with the Planning, Production, and Inventory
Control groups to monitor and drive improvement to work-in-process (WIP) levels. This person will gain
valuable hands-on experience while being part of a team that foster’s innovation, employee engagement,
and fact-based results. The main objective of this position will be to categorize, analyze, and improve
Rantec’s inventory levels by driving reductions in WIP levels, primarily focusing on aging work orders.
This will consist of physical consolidation and organization of product across the manufacturing facility,
and communication to essential personnel on how to progress it forward in its relative manufacturing, test,
or inspection process.

The Test Technician is hands-on with final product and sub-assemblies, paying careful attention to detail will be the last line of defense between design or production problems and the customer.  The Production Test Technician will use a wide variety of tools, instruments, and automated test systems.
